Starting a diet is never a bad idea. Our body can always use rejuvenation and a break from all the toxins and other harmful substances that we consume on the daily basis, and diets are the easiest way of achieving this.
However, while many people want to go on diets, they lack the knowledge of how to start. Finding ‘tried and true’ tips online is very easy, but we can’t always trust them for one simple reason: Everyone has a different body. What someone posts online might have worked for them, but implying that they will work for everyone by default is far from the truth.
Even so, there are certain tips and tasks that one can implement onto any dietary plan and yield positive results. Some of these are the following:
Start drinking water – and don’t stop anytime soon:
Water is essential for life – and despite knowing this important fact, we often neglect it immensely. Remaining hydrated throughout the day is imperative. Whether someone just completed a trek around the course, or finished their yoga session, water allows them to cool down and readjust their senses.
People who drink little water often feel fatigued and tired when they wake up in the morning, and what they misconstrue as a lack of sleep is actually a lack of water in their body, which as a result makes them feel drowsy and tired.
Water is also a much better alternative to the other ‘energy drinks’ out there that promise great results, but are just bogged-down cans of sugar. They provide momentary boosts of energy, which in most cases, you will not even be able to properly utilize, before throwing you down a drowsy spiral of doom.
Find a fitness buddy:
Working out and exercising is always much easier when you have someone else there with you. Not only with this act as a motivator to keep pushing forward, but you will also have someone alongside you to notice your weight loss, and betterment and thus, being appreciated will act as even further motivation.
If your fitness buddy is knowledgeable on the various intricacies of weight loss and dieting, then they can guide you throughout the entire process and ensure that you’re not going astray or doing anything that will cause more harm than good. Even if they lack the required expertise in dieting and nutrition, they can act as moral support and boost your spirits when needed.
Hair loss and baldness is an unfortunate condition that happens to millions of people every year. When most people think of hair loss, they think of men over the age of 40, however, you can lose your hair at almost any age. Bald spots and hair loss happen when your body attacks your skin cells and damages them. This causes your skin cells to stop producing keratin, the chemical that is responsible for hair growth. The key to regaining hair loss naturally is to hydrate your body, eat protein, and use green tea.
Hydrate your body. If your body is dehydrated, you cannot get enough nutrients to regrow your hair. If you don’t drink the recommended amount of water every day, your hair will become dry and brittle and it won’t grow back. The Mayo Clinic says your should drink at least eight eight-ounce glasses of water per day.
Eat protein. Protein contains the chemical biotin, which can help your hair to start to regrow. Biotin can strengthen your hair, nails and skin. Eat food that is rich in protein, such as eggs, peanut butter, yogurt, and nuts.
Drink green tea. Green tea can help to reduce the amount of dihydrotestostorone, or DHT, your body produces. Since DHT is one of the leading causes of hair loss, it is essential to drink green tea. The more green tea you drink, the more DHT you can remove from your body. Drink at least 24 ounces of green tea per day.
Use olive oil. Olive oil can clean out your pores and hair follicles to regain your hair in a natural way. When you are outside every day, you expose your skin to toxic chemicals, dirt, pollution and sweat, which damage the skin cells and follicles that are responsible for regrowing your hair. Massage a few tablespoons of olive oil into the parts of your skin where you want to regrow hair. Let the oil penetrate into your skin.
Try aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is a practice of herbal medicine that uses essential oils to regain your hair. The essential oils are released when the herb from the essential oil is released and compressed. The Archives of Dermatology reported that a small study of participants who applied a mixture of essential oils to their head for seven months found that 44 percent of those participants grew new hair in the patches of skin where they had previously lost hair.
